Privacy Policy

WhatLingers ("we" or "this App") is operated by independent developers. We understand that journals and personal life records are extremely private. Therefore, we adopt the highest standard of privacy design: Local-first, and data owned by you.

1. Information Collection and Use

Personal Content Data: Your journal text, photos, audio records, videos, moods, and locations are saved strictly within your iOS local sandbox. We do not collect or upload your entries to any remote server under our control.

Device Permissions: The App may request the following permissions during active recording:

  • Camera & Photo Library: To take photos or load videos to add to your entries.
  • Microphone: To record voice notes.
  • Location Services: To automatically associate geographic tags with your entries (saved locally).

2. Data Storage and Backup Sync

WebDAV Cloud Sync: When you manually activate WebDAV synchronization, your data and files are transmitted directly and securely (via HTTPS) to your designated cloud provider (e.g., Nutstore, Nextcloud, iCloud). We do not intercept or access this transit data.

Local Encryption: Your passcode security lock uses irreversible SHA-256 hash formatting stored locally, protecting your files from local extraction if your device is lost.

3. AI Services Statement

If you configure and enable local AI helper features, relevant journal text content will be passed to your chosen API provider (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) via secure API endpoints to generate helper cards, rewrites, and title suggestions. Data sent via paid API streams is generally not utilized for public model training by providers.

4. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced in App Store update logs.

一、信息收集与使用

1. 个人内容数据：您的日记正文、照片、录音、视频、心情状态标签、地理位置等所有创作数据均存储在您的 iOS 设备本地沙盒中。我们不会将您的内容上传到任何第三方或我们控制的服务器。

2. 设备权限：为了提供完整的记录体验，本App可能会在您主动使用相关功能时申请以下权限：

  • 相机与相册权限：用于拍摄或选择照片/视频加入日记中。
  • 麦克风权限：用于录制音频日记。
  • 定位服务权限：用于自动为您的记忆标记记录时的地理位置（该数据仅保存在本地）。

二、数据存储与备份同步

1. WebDAV 云同步：当您主动开启并配置 WebDAV 同步时，您的数据和媒体文件将通过加密通道（HTTPS）直接传输到您指定的云服务商（如坚果云、Nextcloud 等）。我们不会在其中做任何拦截，也无法查看您的同步数据。

2. 本地密码加密：当您启用应用安全锁时，您的密码将经过不可逆的 SHA-256 算法哈希后存储在本地数据库中，确保即使设备丢失也无法被轻易破解。

三、AI 智能服务说明

如果您在 App 内配置并启用了 AI 助手功能，相关的文字内容将会通过标准的 API 传输给您选择的 AI 服务商（如 OpenAI、Anthropic、Gemini等）以便为您生成标题、润色文字或提供洞察。传输过程严格遵循该服务商的 API 隐私条款（通常明确表示 API 传输数据不用于公共模型训练）。

四、政策变更

我们可能会适时更新本隐私政策。如果发生重大变更，我们会在 App 更新说明中予以公示。

Welcome to WhatLingers (this "Software"). Please review this Agreement carefully before installing and using this Software.

1. License & Usage Rules

1. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download, install, and run this Software on your iOS compatible device.

2. You must use the Software lawfully. You shall not use this Software to perform malicious actions, violate security policies, distribute copyrighted contents, or damage the privacy of others.

2. Data Backup and Liability Disclaimer

Crucial Terms: This Software operates on a local-first design. The safety and backup of your records and media elements are strictly your responsibility.

If your device is damaged, lost, formatted, or if the app is uninstalled while WebDAV cloud sync is not active, the developer cannot recover your journal files and holds no liability for any indirect losses.

3. Pro Premium Billing & Subscriptions

1. Premium features (such as deep AI assistant, custom endpoints, high-quality audio compression) may require in-app purchases or subscription renewals (WhatLingers Plus).

2. All payments and transaction processes are managed by Apple App Store. Refunds and subscriptions are bound to official Apple App Store Billing Terms.

4. Agreement Changes

This Agreement takes effect upon app installation. The developer reserves the right to modify these terms. Continued use of the Software signifies your agreement to revised terms.

1. 我们授予您一项个人的、非排他性的、不可转让的许可，允许您在您的 iOS 兼容设备上下载、安装并运行本软件。

2. 您必须合法使用本软件，不得利用本软件从事危害国家安全、传播侵权内容或破坏他人隐私等非法活动。

二、数据备份责任免责声明

1. 关键条款：本软件采用本地优先存储架构。您理解并同意，所有数据及媒体文件的安全与备份主要由您个人负责。

2. 如因您的设备损坏、丢失、误卸载、重置或者忘记应用锁密码导致的数据丢失，在您未开启 WebDAV 同步备份的情况下，本软件开发者不承担找回数据的责任和任何相关的间接损失。

三、增值服务与订阅说明

1. 本软件的部分高级功能（例如深度 AI 辅助、无限媒体压缩导入等）可能需要通过 App Store 应用内购买或订阅（WhatLingers Plus）解锁。

2. 所有的购买及支付交易均由苹果 App Store 处理，相关退款、订阅管理和扣费事宜遵循苹果官方应用商店的付费服务条款。

四、协议修改与终止

本协议自您安装使用本软件之日起生效。开发者有权在必要时修改本协议，修改后的协议将在本页面更新发布。如您继续使用本软件，即视为您接受修改后的协议。
